The organisation behind the Turin Acro Cup
A.S.D. Società Ginnastica Grugliasco (SGG) is an amateur sports association with its operational headquarters in Turin, Via Barletta 109/21 - 10136, active in the promotion and development of acrobatic gymnastics in the Piedmont region and nationally. Founded with the objective of offering training and competitive pathways in the discipline, SGG has built a solid reputation in Italian acrobatic gymnastics over the years.
The association is the organising body of the Turin Acro Cup since the first edition in 2013. The experience gained over more than a decade of organising international competitions has consolidated the organisational, logistical and technical competencies necessary for managing an event of this scale, from sports planning to the care and hospitality of international delegations.
SGG's mission is built on three fundamental pillars: the technical training of acrobatic gymnastics athletes at all levels, from grassroots to international competition; the promotion of the discipline across the region through events, training camps and outreach initiatives; and contributing to the growth of the acrobatic movement at national and international level through the organisation of high-quality competitions and collaboration with foreign federations and clubs.
The technical direction of the association is entrusted to Erica Loiacono, an internationally qualified acrobatic gymnastics coach. Under her guidance, SGG has produced athletes who have achieved significant results at national and international level, confirming the quality of the training pathway offered by the association. SGG regularly organises training camps that attract participants from across Italy and abroad, contributing to the technical development of athletes and fostering exchange with different international coaching methodologies.
Over the years, Società Ginnastica Grugliasco has achieved significant results in the field of acrobatic gymnastics. The association has developed athletes of international calibre and has contributed to the growth of the acrobatic movement in Italy. The organisation of the Turin Acro Cup, now in its eleventh edition, represents the most tangible outcome of SGG's commitment to promoting the discipline beyond national borders.
The organisation of the Turin Acro Cup is supported by a structured volunteer programme across 5 operational areas. Volunteers play a decisive role in the success of the event, contributing to logistics, delegation hospitality, competition management and technical support. The programme represents an opportunity for active participation and training in the field of international sports event organisation.
