12th Edition — International Acrobatic Gymnastics Competition
The Turin Acro Cup is an international acrobatic gymnastics (Acrobatic Gymnastics) competition held annually in Turin since 2013, progressively establishing itself as one of the leading events on the European calendar. Organised by A.S.D. Società Ginnastica Grugliasco under the direction of Marco Palella, the event has combined technical rigour with organisational excellence, attracting a growing number of international delegations year after year and consolidating its role as a bridge between the Italian acrobatic movement and the international community.
The 2026 edition, the eleventh since its foundation, will take place from 3 to 5 July at the Palazzetto dello Sport "Gianni Asti", commonly known as Pala Ruffini, located at Viale L. Bistolfi 10, Turin. The venue, equipped with adequate capacity and facilities compliant with federation standards, represents the ideal setting for a competition of this calibre, providing the technical conditions required for competition and a comfortable experience for athletes, delegations and spectators.
The previous edition, the tenth (2024), saw the participation of 375 athletes and 135 delegation staff members, totalling over 510 participants. 25 international clubs from over 10 countries took part in the competition, including the United Kingdom, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Italy and Ireland. These figures attest to the event's consistent growth and its capacity to attract delegations from diverse geographical and sporting contexts.
Since its inaugural edition in 2013, the Turin Acro Cup has followed a path of continuous growth, consistently recognised as an international-level competition. Each edition has contributed to expanding the network of contacts with federations, clubs and coaches across the continent, offering athletes at every level — from beginners to the most advanced competitive tiers — an opportunity for high-level technical exchange in a structured and professional organisational setting. The event also represents a significant opportunity for the city of Turin in terms of international sporting visibility and the economic benefits generated by hosting international delegations.
The competition is structured around a qualification phase, consisting of one or two rounds, followed by finals. The double-round qualification format allows athletes to present two different routines, enabling a more comprehensive assessment and reducing the impact of isolated incidents on the overall result. Finals, reserved for the top-ranked athletes in each category, determine the podium and the awarding of titles.
